THE CRYPTOMAT COLLECTION

2014

SOLD OUT & RETIRED

THE CRYPTOMAT was the world’s first bitcoin watch, a groundbreaking fusion of tradition and innovation. Inspired by classic coin watches and designed as a tribute to the revolutionary Bitcoin cryptocurrency, the CRYPTOMAT stands as a symbol of the crypto movement.

The name "cryptomat" was a combination of "crypto" and "diplomat," representing an individual who champions the crypto cause, skillfully engaging with crypto-skeptics.

Launched during the early days of Bitcoin adoption, spotting someone with a CRYPTOMAT means you’re in the presence of a true OG. With only 200 pieces ever made, owning a CRYPTOMAT is like holding a piece of history.

This timeless message has been engraved on the back of our watches since our very first collection. Penned between 29 and 19 BC in “The Aeneid,” it translates to "It Gains Strength as it Goes." We believe it perfectly encapsulates the spirit of the Bitcoin movement.
